Control editor column widths

Once a log is open for edit, the user can change all column withs by either
  • dragging them with the mouse in the first (grayed-out) row (except for the first one leftmost) or
  • using the (one-time) auto-size feature (menu item: Edit | Adopt optimized column width, keyboard short cut:Ctrl+F5).

Furthermore, auto-sizing can be enabled permanently. Due to that fact, there are basically two different options to control the log editor column widths:

    1. Leave the column width control to LM (auto sizing)
In that case, LM is going to change all column sizes (even the size of the non-editable columns) automatically to best fit whenever the log is being loaded/reloaded (actions such as changig header data, log compilation, copy & paste, after one of the tools has ran, etc.). This is the default & recommended setting.
To choose that way, enable the option "Always set optimal column width automatically" in the Options dialog.

    2. Retain the column width control (manual sizing)
If required, the user can keep the control over the column widths manually, auto sizing will not be used in that case. The current column width settings are being stored with the LMF file and will be restored after reloading the log.
To choose that way, disable the option "Always set optimal column width automatically" in the Options dialog.
